    INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE(2008-2018)

Indian Premier League (IPL), Indian professional Twenty20 (T20) cricket league established in 2008. Players from around the world compete with each other in the form of opponent teams. Ultimately one team comes out as as a champion in the final and get the IPL trophy. Here is the list of winners of IPL(2008-2018).

  • YEAR 2008

  1. WINNER:              Rajasthan Royals(RR)
  2. RUNNER UP:       Chennai Super King(CSK)
  3. DESCRIPTION:   The match was conducted at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. RR won by 3 wickets. CSK scored 163/5 in 20 overs, RR scored 164/7 in 20 overs. Yusuf Pathan was the Player of the match.



  • YEAR 2009

  1. WINNER:               Deccan Chargers(DC)
  2. RUNNER UP:        Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB)
  3. DESCRIPTION:    The IPL season was played in South Africa and the final was held at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. DC beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 runs in the final. DC scored 143/6 in 20 overs and RCB scored 137/9 in 20 overs. Anil Kumble was the player of the match.


  • YEAR 2010

  1. WINNER:             Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
  2. RUNNER UP:       Mumbai Indians(MI)
  3. DESCRIPTION:   The Final was held at  DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. CSK finally won the IPL 2010 edition after beating MI by 22 runs. CSK scored 168/5 in 20 overs and MI scored 146/9 in 20 overs. Suresh Raina was the player of that match.

  1. WINNER:             Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
  2. RUNNER UP:       Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB)
  3. DESCRIPTION:   The Final was held at  M.A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. CSK again won the IPL trophy after beating RCB by 58 runs. CSK scored 205/5 in 20 overs and RCB scored 147/8 in 20 overs. Murali Vijaya was the player of that match.

  • YEAR 2012

  1. WINNER:               Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR)
  2. RUNNER UP:        Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
  3. DESCRIPTION:    The Final was held at  M.A Chidambaram Stadium,Chennai. KKR won the IPL trophy after beating strongest team CSK   by 5 wickets. CSK scored  190/3 in 20 overs and KKR  scored  192/5 in 19.4 overs. Manvinder Bisla  was the player of  that match.



  • YEAR 2013

  1. WINNER:               Mumbai Indians (MI)
  2. RUNNER UP:        Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
  3. DESCRIPTION:    The Final was held at  Eden Gardens, KolkataCSK were beaten by 23 runs after Shane Watson from MI showed a brilliant performance on the field. MI scored  148/9 in 20 overs and  CSK scored 125/9 in overs. Kieron Pollard  was the player of  that match.

  • YEAR 2014

  1. WINNER:              Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR)
  2. RUNNER UP:        Kings XI Punjab(KXIP)
  3. DESCRIPTION:   Final was played at a neutral venue in Bangalore-M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. KKR, after an all-around performance in the league matches, reached the final again in 2014 season and beat Kings XI Punjab by 3 wickets. KXIP scored 199/4 in 20 overs and KKR scored 200/7 in 19.3 overs. Manish Pandey was man of the match.



  • YEAR 2015

  1. WINNER:                Mumbai Indian(MI)
  2. RUNNER UP:          Chennai Super Kings(CSK)
  3. DESCRIPTION:      Final was conducted at Eden Garden, Kolkata. MI again tasted victory in the IPL 2015. They beat CSK by 41 runs. MI's score was 202/5 in 20 overs and CSK's score was 161/8  in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma won the man of the match award.




  • YEAR 2016

  1. WINNER:               Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH)      
  2. RUNNER UP:        Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB)
  3. DESCRIPTION:    M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Hyderabad, was the venue for final match in 2016. SRH won the cup after they beat RCB by 8 runs at their home ground. SRH scored 208/7 in 20 overs and RCB scored 200/7 in 20 overs. Ben Cutting clinched the player of the match award.


  • YEAR 2017

  1. WINNER:              Mumbai Indians(MI)
  2. RUNNER UP:       Rising Pune Supergiants(RPS)
  3. DESCRIPTION:   Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad,was  the venue for final match in 2016. MI won the cup after they beat RPS by 1 run. MI scored 129/8 in 20 overs and RPS scored 128/6 in 20 overs. Krunal Pandya won the man of the match award.




  • YEAR 2018

  1. WINNER:              Chennai Super Kings(CSK)
  2. RUNNER UP:        Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH)
  3. DESCRIPTION:   The match was held at Wankhede Stadium. CSK defeated SRH by 8 wickets and won the IPL title for the third time. SRH scored 178/6 in 20 overs and CSK scored 181/2 in just 18.3 overs only. Shane Watson won the man of the match crown.
